You're going to drive a 40-year-old UAZ, over hill and dale, looking for game.
The hike will take about 3 hours.
You won't need anything but a good mood.
The cellar rows of the settlement are Szomolyai- and Jókai útti, Kőporosi, Imányi, Emődi, Kis-Imányi and Mátyás-téri. The cellar rows are also nice walking paths.
Many people in the village have vineyards and cellars, but few are engaged in catering and selling. We therefore recommend that wine tastings and sales are arranged in advance with the wine producers listed on the website.
The hike is 7.5 km long and includes 350 m of ascent and descent. If you don't want to do one big hike, you can split the whole circuit into 3 sub-rounds. For more information on how to do this, please see the Forrest Hike map.
The Forrest Hike offers you a full day adventure, where you will be mentally refreshed and at the same time pleasantly tired. You will even be rewarded with a token when you present the answer to the complete poem puzzle to our colleague.
Ask for the map at our reception!

Our common historical heritage is the Castle Museum. The Dobó István Castle Museum, as a historical memorial site and place of worship, has the task of collecting, preserving, processing and presenting the archaeological, historical, numismatic, ethnographic, fine arts, applied arts and literary heritage of Eger and Heves County in a multifaceted and experiential way, with special emphasis on the historical and built heritage of the Eger Castle and the literary legacy of Géza Gárdonyi, cultivating the cult of the writer. The castle museum's collections and research focus on local history, but many of the collections extend beyond the county and include items of national and even European importance.
The István Dobó Castle Museum aims to be a centre of science, a place for the dissemination of knowledge and scientifically based historical interpretation, a community space and a tourist attraction, and to make the most of its collections as widely and as widely as possible.
The Castle Museum is a county-level institution and has been known as the István Dobó Castle Museum since 1958. The idea of establishing the museum dates back to the 19th century, and its origins and components include the Archbishop's collection housed in the Lyceum of Eger, the artefacts of the Eger fortress excavations, the paleontological collection of Ferenc Legányi and the Gárdonyi House. In 1948 the Municipal Museum was established in the Buttler House. Until 1957, the Eger Castle was under the administration of the Hungarian Defence Forces, and only the casemates were open to the public.

THE TREASURE OF INCENSE: THE SECRET OF THE VEIL CAVE
A long time ago, in a very different time, not only humans lived on Earth. Swift-stepping fairies, two-man knights of the wood, fire-breathing dragons, dark-robed mages roamed the dense forests. Once there were so many hidden hills and valleys around here, too, that those who didn't absolutely had to avoid the landscape far and wide.
But it was here that the black-hearted swamp mage, Poppy, was plotting in the depths of his cave in the middle of the vastness to conquer the golden kingdom of neighbouring King Abos forever with his fanged and winged beasts. Goblins lurked in the shadows of the underbrush. Their only but greater treasure was a magical collection of spells, the Book of Wills, which could make any wish or desire, however black as a bog frog's tongue, come true.
The magician Macony wanted it at all costs. From his army of monsters, the king of the goblins, Kalmos, waved the book under his leather coat and straight to King Abos' castle. The benevolent head of the golden empire promised protection and sent his best knights to fight against Makony, led by the giant-skull knight Demjen. The sword-wielding champion mounted Kalmos behind him and they set out to defeat the dark lord of the forest-deep. The great battle, however, was almost decided in favour of Makony. But then, suddenly, the metal dragon Flamefang descended upon the dark army.
The fire-breather had come to fulfil his promise, for when the knight Demjen had spared his life centuries before, he vowed to return the favour of his benevolent lord if fate would have it so. The fierce fanged and winged beasts did not flee from his flame-threat - only Mákony could make his way to the Veil Cave by the battlefield.
The knight Demjén, with the Goblin King on his back, raced after him. Mákony kept retreating to the bottom of the cave. He had forgotten that he had once cast Illango, the swift-footed elf, here to make the lights disappear from the world. But Illango carried in his heart a light of hope that now shone again. Macauny was struck simultaneously by the dragon's fire and the fairy's glow - the double ray pulverized him to ashes. Demjén dismounted from Flamethog's saddle and hurled his giant plank into the ashes. Water erupted like a shower, slowly rising in the cave.
Calamus the goblin threw the Book of Wills into it, never to be retrieved by a surface walker. With an echoing sweet charm, he pacified the waves. Flame Tooth fortified the water with dragon magic to guard its secrets. To do this, the giant plank of the Knight Demjen gave strength.
The evil mage was forgotten by all. And the good king, the knight, the fairy, the dragon and the goblin are remembered only by the Veil Cave. Their secrets are kept in the water - and now they share them with everyone.
